Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-04.

1. What Sipario is

Sipario (“the Service”, accessible at sipario.tv) is a browser-based media player for the Stremio addon protocol. The Service does not host, store, index, recommend, or moderate any third-party media content. It plays streams from Stremio-protocol addon manifest URLs that you add in Settings.

The source code is available at github.com/Aiml3ss/sipario under its published license.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (typically 13–16) to use the Service. By using Sipario you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use of the Service does not violate any law applicable to you.

3. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the addon manifest URLs you choose to add and for any content those addons return. You represent and warrant that you have the rights — by ownership, license, or other lawful basis — to access, download, view, and otherwise use any content you stream through the Service.

See the Acceptable Use Policy for the full list of prohibited activities.

4. No content hosting; no endorsement

The Service does not host, cache, or distribute any third-party media. It does not curate, rank, recommend, or endorse any specific addon or upstream provider. References in the documentation to the Stremio addon protocol are informational only and do not imply affiliation with or endorsement of any particular addon, third-party service, or content source.

5. Privacy

Your preferences (including any addon manifest URLs and any credentials those URLs may embed), watch progress, and reactions are stored in your browser’s local storage only. They are not transmitted to Sipario’s servers, are not logged, and are not used for telemetry. The federated CORS verdict pool sees only SHA-256 hashes of hostnames; it never sees raw URLs.

6. Third-party services

The Service uses TMDB (The Movie Database) for metadata under their API terms of use; you may need to supply your own TMDB API key. Streams you play are fetched from upstream hosts named by the addons you have configured; those hosts have their own terms and privacy policies, and Sipario has no relationship with or control over them.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the operators or contributors of Sipario be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

9. Termination

The operators may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

10. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact listed on the DMCA / takedown page.
